Hey all,
Finally arrived over here in Louth, England, 2 weeks late with the ash problems. Louth CC is the only cricket club in Louth. It has a population of just over 17,000. We play in the Lincolnshire England Cricket Board Premier League. Really good standard of cricket of which would be on par with rep level or slightly better. Most teams have a good overseas player. Grounds are amazing with all having sight screens, ropes and most have electronic scoreboards.
On a personal note i'm well past the side strain that kept me out of the last of our season and in my opinion am bowling quicker than I have before mainly thanks to a lot of gym work. Last weekend I picked up 4 for 31 and this week I picked up 5 for 36 againsed a team that hadn't lost in 3 years! So am in a bit of form.
Batting wise has been a bit mixed. I have had scores of 12, 100*, 7, 23, 9 and 4. A run out and a dodgy LBW hasnt helped but thats all part of the game (no excuses). Other than that am having the time of my life over here, both myself and Suzannah are really well. I'm coaching in schools during the week to keep busy so am learning new skills.
We have a lovely club with really great people. Will keep the club website updated with how im getting on.
Seth
